At its June 24, 2010 meeting, the Education Subcommittee of the Commission voted APPROVAL for Randy Mayhew School of Real Estate's ALL NEW mandatory course designed for any licensee who will be seeking renewal of his or her Vermont license in 2012! Our proposal followed the outline voted by the Commission at its May 27, 2010 meeting. The course, while mandatory, promises to be VERY INTERACTIVE and ENGAGING. It is packed full of opportunities for participant inquiry, discussion, and comment. Based on evaluation comments, this is exactly what YOU want. In addition, the course also includes a bound manual, text boxes, and multiple methods of class engagement which have been so popular in our courses. More than any other course, we work hard to make this one special. We are also very pleased to notify you that Liz Merrill has once again agreed to assist in instruction whenever possible (mostly in the Burlington and other northwest regions of the state).
Randy Mayhew School of Real Estate Plans Online Course Offerings
The school has purchased the necessary software to provide interested students with unique online learning experiences. With help from the WSI Global Reach and using their Global Learning System™ the school will be in a position to design online courses with content specifically directed to local laws and practices. To respond to the most immediate demand from students, the first courses will cover materials relevant to passing the state portion of the real estate license exam. Initially these courses will be offered without VREC approval since many applicants from other states may not be required to take additional prelicense course requirements in Vermont. Also many students have called and asked for a course to supplement the approved course they have already taken.
Estimated time for this new learning addition to RMSOR is August 2010. Beta testers have already reviewed parts and begun the process of assuring that these courses will be a valuable addition to RMSOR. Stay tuned!
